The Hario Immersion Switch 02 is a manual coffee brewer that combines Hario's V60 shape with immersion brewing.
This package contains the Switch 02 dripper and 40 V60-02 paper filters. A serving carafe is not included.
How the Hario Switch works
At the bottom of the dripper is a stainless steel ball that blocks the outlet.
When the switch is closed, the coffee and water remain in the dripper and steep together, as in immersion brewing.
When you activate the switch, the ball is lifted, and the coffee runs through the paper filter into your cup or serving carafe.
This means you decide exactly when the filtration begins.
You can also leave the valve open and use the Switch more like a traditional V60, or combine open and closed periods in the same brew.
Switch 02 – 200 ml
Hario specifies a finished capacity of 200 ml for the Switch 02.
The 02 version is therefore particularly well-suited for smaller brews and one cup at a time.
The dripper uses standard Hario V60 paper filters in size 02.
Once the 40 included filters are used, you can supplement them with Hario V60-02 paper filters – 100 pcs..
