What is an Airscape coffee canister?
Airscape is a coffee container developed with a focus on reducing the amount of air stored along with the coffee.
When the inner lid is pressed down against the coffee beans, excess air is pushed out through the valve. The handle is then locked so that the inner lid remains positioned tightly above the coffee.
This means the volume of air above the coffee beans can be reduced as you use the coffee.
Why is proper coffee storage important?
Coffee beans are gradually affected by their environment after roasting. In particular, contact with oxygen can affect the coffee's aroma and flavor over time.

How does Airscape work?
Airscape uses a two-lid system.
The outer lid closes the container itself, while the inner lid can be moved up and down depending on how much coffee is in the canister.
Once you have filled the container with coffee beans, the inner lid is pressed down toward the coffee. The air above the beans is pushed out through the valve, and the handle is folded down to lock the lid.
When you need to use the coffee again, the handle is lifted, and the inner lid can be pulled up.

Airscape for whole coffee beans
Airscape is particularly well-suited for storing whole coffee beans.
Whole beans generally retain their aroma better than ground coffee, which is why we recommend storing coffee as whole beans and only grinding the amount you need immediately before brewing.

Can Airscape be used for ground coffee?
Yes. Airscape can also be used for ground coffee.
Ground coffee has a much larger surface area than whole coffee beans and is therefore affected by air more quickly. If you buy or grind coffee in advance, it is therefore particularly important to store it well-sealed.
For the best aroma, however, we generally recommend grinding the coffee beans shortly before brewing.

How to use an Airscape coffee canister
