The Timemore Black Mirror Basic 3 is the latest generation in the Timemore Basic series and has been developed for both espresso and manual filter brewing.
The Basic 3 has become smaller and lighter than its predecessor and combines precise weighing with three different brewing modes, flow rate measurement, and a coffee/water ratio display.
This variant is white.
Three modes for different brewing methods
The Basic 3 has three timer and brewing modes:

Regular – standard weighing and timer

Pour-Over – functions aimed at manual filter brewing

Espresso – automatic extraction detection
The modes are selected using the new multi-function slider on the side of the scale.
In Espresso Mode, the scale can automatically tare when the cup is placed on the platform and record time and weight when extraction begins.
Pour-Over Mode allows you to, among other things, monitor flow rate and coffee/water ratio during brewing.

Precision and measuring range
The Basic 3 has a measuring range from 0.2 to 2000 g.
Timemore specifies the following accuracy:

This makes the scale particularly suitable for coffee, where small weight changes during dosing and brewing are more important than on a standard kitchen scale.
EMI shielding
The Basic 3 features electromagnetic shielding, designed to reduce interference from magnetic barista equipment and electronic devices close to the scale.
This is especially relevant in an espresso setup, where the scale is often placed near the espresso machine, magnetic dosing funnels, and other equipment.
Silicone mat for both filter and espresso
The included silicone mat covers the platform and protects the scale against heat and spills.
The mat is reversible. One side acts as a standard platform, while the other is shaped to support a portafilter.

The Basic 3 has a built-in 1600 mAh battery.
