Borosilicate glass and non-slip base

The carafe is made of heat-resistant borosilicate glass, allowing you to follow the brewing process directly through the glass.

Fine-mesh filter for French press coffee

The Bialetti Smart uses a fine-mesh filter that holds back larger coffee grounds when the plunger is pressed down.

Therefore, there is no need for paper filters.

At the same time, the French press’s metal filter allows more of the coffee’s natural oils to pass into the cup, which contributes to the full-bodied mouthfeel that characterizes French press coffee.

How many cups you actually get from the carafe depends, of course, on the portion size, but it is a great choice if a smaller 300–450 ml French press often proves too small.

How much coffee should you use?

At Brændeholm Risteri, we generally recommend 60 grams of coffee per liter of water.

For a full Bialetti Smart 1 L, you can therefore start with:

60 g of coffee to 1,000 ml of water

Grind the coffee medium-coarse to coarse, then adjust the grind size according to taste.

Easy cleaning
