Sage The Bambino Plus Espresso Machine SES500BSS

Sage The Bambino Plus SES500BSS is a compact espresso machine for those who want manual espresso combined with automatic milk frothing.

The machine does not have a built-in coffee grinder, so you will need a separate grinder or coffee that is ground correctly for espresso.

Ready in approx. 3 seconds

The Bambino Plus uses Sage's ThermoJet heating system, which brings the machine to brewing temperature in about 3 seconds.

Brewing starts with low-pressure pre-infusion, which gradually moistens the coffee puck, followed by extraction at 9 bars.

You can choose between 1 and 2 shots with volumetric dosing.

54 mm portafilter and 18 g of coffee

The Bambino Plus uses a 54 mm stainless steel portafilter.

Sage specifies approximately 18 g of freshly ground coffee as the starting point for a full-bodied espresso.

The grind size must be adjusted on a separate coffee grinder, as the Bambino Plus does not have a built-in grinder.

Automatic milk frothing

One of the biggest differences between the Bambino Plus and the standard Bambino is the automatic steam wand.

You can choose between:

• 3 temperature settings

• 3 levels of milk foam

The machine stops automatically when the selected temperature and texture have been reached.

The steam wand can also be used manually if you want to control the milk frothing yourself.

A 480 ml stainless steel milk jug is included.

Compact espresso machine

The Bambino Plus measures 19.4 × 36.2 × 30.4 cm and is therefore significantly narrower than many espresso machines with built-in grinders.

The water tank holds 1.9 liters and is removable.

Maintenance

The Bambino Plus uses a ClaroSwiss water filter.

The steam wand must be kept free of milk residue. For more thorough cleaning, Sage Steam Wand Cleaner is listed as compatible with the Bambino Plus SES500.
