Can the Bialetti Squid Game 3 cups be used on induction?

Not directly.

The Moka Express Squid Game is made of aluminum and is therefore not directly compatible with induction stovetops.

If you have induction, you can use the Bialetti Induction Plate 13 cm between the induction field and the moka pot.

The adapter plate is heated by the induction field and transfers the heat to the aluminum pot.

What grind size should be used?

For the Moka Express, we recommend coffee ground for moka pots.

A medium-fine grind size is a good starting point.

The coffee should be:

• finer than regular filter coffee

• coarser than traditional espresso

• gritty rather than powder-fine

Fill the filter basket well, but do not press or tamp the coffee.

If the brewing process is very slow, or if the coffee becomes bitter, you can try a slightly coarser grind.

If the result is thin, you can try a slightly finer one.

A good coffee grinder makes it easier to adjust the grind size to the coffee you are using.

How to brew with the Bialetti Moka Express Squid Game

1. Fill the bottom container with water
Fill with water up to the level of the safety valve without covering the valve.

2. Insert the filter basket
Place the filter basket in the bottom container.

3. Add coffee
Fill the basket with coffee ground for moka pots.

The coffee should not be tamped.

4. Screw the moka pot together
Screw the top and bottom parts together securely.

Do not use the handle as a lever when tightening or loosening the pot.

5. Use low heat
Place the moka pot on the stove at low to medium heat.

On gas, the flame should be kept under the base and must not extend up the sides.

If you are using induction, place the Bialetti Induction Plate 13 cm between the stovetop and the moka pot.

6. Remove the pot from the heat
When the coffee has risen to the top container, turn off the heat.

Serve the coffee immediately after brewing.

Which coffee beans are suitable for a moka pot?

You can use different roast levels depending on the flavor you prefer.

Medium-roasted coffee beans are a good starting point if you want a balance between sweetness, body, and the coffee's original character.

If you prefer a more powerful and classic flavor profile, you can try dark-roasted coffee beans.

Lighter roasts can also be used if you want to highlight more acidity and fruitiness.
