Produktbeskrivelse
Bialetti Moka Induction 6 cups – moka pot for induction
The Bialetti Moka Induction 6 cups combines the classic Bialetti design with a construction that makes the moka pot suitable for induction stoves.
The black model has a capacity of approximately 280 ml of brewed coffee and is perfect for those who want a larger portion of intense and full-bodied moka pot coffee.
The upper part is made of aluminum, while the special bi-layer base combines aluminum and stainless steel. This allows the Moka Induction to be used on both induction and traditional heat sources.

How much coffee does the 6-cup model make?
The designation 6 cups does not mean six standard coffee mugs.
Bialetti uses small moka cups as a size indicator. The Moka Induction 6 cups yields approximately 280 ml of finished coffee, depending on factors such as water volume, coffee, and grind size.
This makes the model suitable if you are brewing for multiple people or desire a larger portion than what is produced by the smaller moka pots.

Bialetti Moka Induction on induction
The biggest difference between the Moka Induction and the classic Moka Express is the base.
The Moka Induction features a construction of stainless steel and aluminum, which makes it compatible with induction hobs.
It can also be used on:
- Gas
- Electric hobs
- Ceramic hobs
Induction hobs may have different requirements regarding the minimum diameter of cookware. Therefore, please check the manual for your induction stove if you are in doubt about compatibility.
Aluminum and stainless steel in the same moka pot
The Moka Induction combines two materials.
The upper container is made of aluminum, thus continuing a central part of the construction from Bialetti's classic moka pots.
The lower part uses a bi-layer construction with aluminum and stainless steel. The stainless steel makes the pot compatible with induction, while the construction is simultaneously developed to distribute heat during brewing.
Does it brew real espresso?
Even though a moka pot is often called an espresso maker in Danish, the Bialetti Moka Induction does not brew traditional espresso like an espresso machine.
The moka pot uses the pressure created when water is heated in the lower container to force water through the ground coffee.
The result is a concentrated and intense coffee that is stronger than regular filter coffee, but brewed at significantly lower pressure than traditional espresso.
If you want to learn the technique, you can find dosing, grind size, and troubleshooting in our guide to moka pots and espresso makers.
Which grind size should I use?
For the Bialetti Moka Induction, a medium-fine grind is a good starting point.
The coffee should be:
- finer than regular filter coffee
- coarser than traditional espresso
Fill the filter funnel evenly, but do not tamp the coffee.
If the brewing process is very slow or the coffee becomes bitter, try a slightly coarser grind. If the coffee becomes thin, try a slightly finer one.
A good coffee grinder makes it easier to adjust the grind precisely.
Which coffee beans are suitable for Moka Induction?
Moka pots can be used with many different coffee beans.
Medium-roasted coffee beans are a good starting point if you want a balance between sweetness, body, and the individual character of the coffee.
If you prefer a stronger and more classic flavor profile, you can try dark-roasted coffee beans.
You can also experiment with lighter roasts if you prefer more fruitiness and acidity.
How to use the Bialetti Moka Induction
- Fill the lower container with water to just below the safety valve.
- Insert the filter funnel.
- Fill the funnel loosely with medium-fine ground coffee.
- Distribute the coffee evenly without tamping it.
- Screw the moka pot securely together.
- Place it on low to medium heat.
- Let the coffee flow quietly into the upper container.
- Remove the pot from the heat when the brewing is finished and it begins to bubble or sputter.
Avoid high heat, as it can result in a harsher and more bitter coffee.
Cleaning the Bialetti Moka Induction
Let the pot cool down after use.
Unscrew the parts, remove the coffee grounds, and rinse the parts in warm water.
Bialetti Moka Induction should not be washed in the dishwasher.
Periodically check the filter, gasket, and safety valve, and ensure that coffee grounds do not accumulate in the pot.
