Original Hario V60-03 filters for larger pour-over brews

A V60 filter must match the size of the dripper you are using.

Hario works with three classic sizes:

• V60-01: approx. 1–2 cups
• V60-02: approx. 1–4 cups
• V60-03: approx. 1–6 cups

Unbleached V60 filters in natural paper

The V60-03 is a great choice when the standard V60-02 becomes too small for the amount of coffee you want to brew.

Hario indicates size 03 for 1–6 cups.

This makes the large V60-03 filters suitable for, for example:

How to use the Hario V60-03 paper filter

1. Fold the filter

Fold along the seam of the filter so that it sits stably in the dripper.

2. Place the filter in the V60-03

Place the paper filter into your compatible V60-03 dripper.

3. Rinse with hot water

Rinse the entire paper filter thoroughly with hot water and pour out the rinse water.

4. Add freshly ground coffee

Add the desired amount of coffee to the filter and distribute the coffee evenly.

5. Brew your V60

Pour the water over the coffee in a controlled manner according to your preferred V60 recipe.

6. Discard filter and coffee grounds

Once the brewing is complete, remove the used paper filter along with the coffee grounds.

Which coffee is suitable for Hario V60?

The V60 can be used with many different coffees and roast levels.

Pour-over brewing is particularly interesting when you want to clearly experience the coffee's aroma and individual flavor notes.

Many therefore choose light or medium-roasted coffee beans for the V60, but there is no single roast level you must use.

Natural or white Hario V60 filters?

Hario produces V60 paper filters in both a Natural/Unbleached and a white version.

The most visible difference is the paper's treatment and color:
