With a coffee scale, you can measure both coffee and water precisely and use the same recipe again next time.

Grind size for Hario V60

A medium to medium-fine grind size is often a good starting point for the V60.

However, there is no single specific grind setting that suits all coffee grinders, coffee beans, and recipes.

The grind size affects the flow:

Finer grind typically provides more resistance and slower flow.

Coarser grind typically provides less resistance and faster flow.

If the brew runs very fast and the coffee seems thin or sharp, you can try a slightly finer grind.

If the water runs very slowly through and the coffee is perceived as heavy, dry, or very bitter, a slightly coarser setting might be worth trying.
