How Airscape works
Airscape features a moving inner lid and a separate outer lid.
Once the container is filled with coffee, place the inner lid on top of the beans and press it down. Excess air escapes through the valve, after which the handle is folded down to lock the inner lid in place.
As you use the coffee, the lid can be moved further down. This keeps the empty space above the coffee beans smaller than in a regular container with a fixed lid.
Airscape does not create a vacuum. The system works by reducing the amount of air left around the coffee.
Is 250 grams the right size?
The 250-gram model is particularly relevant if you:
- normally open bags of around 250 g
- like to switch between several different coffees
- have a small or moderate coffee consumption
- prefer a compact container over a large coffee canister
