How Airscape works
Airscape has both a movable inner lid and a separate outer lid.
Once you have filled the container with coffee, the inner lid is placed on top of the beans and pressed down. Excess air escapes through the valve, after which the handle is folded down to lock the lid in place.
As the amount of coffee decreases, the inner lid can be moved further down. This means there is not the same large empty air volume left above the coffee as in a traditional container with a fixed lid.
Airscape does not create a vacuum. The system works by pushing out excess air and reducing the remaining air volume around the coffee.
Is 250 grams the right size?
This size is particularly suitable for you if you:
- normally buy coffee in bags of about 250 g
- like to have several different coffees open at the same time
- do not want a larger container on your kitchen counter
- have a smaller or moderate coffee consumption
If you more often buy 500 grams or 1 kg at a time, a larger model will typically be more practical.
